Soft-tissue grafting
Covering roots and rebuilding a durable gumline
Dr. Choi performs all soft-tissue grafting with your own tissue using tunneling and single-incision harvesting. Autogenous tissue resists relapse better than donor alternatives. Patients typically rate their discomfort a 1 to 2 out of 10.
The goal is not only to cover exposed roots but to replace a thin, fragile tissue type with a thicker, more resilient one that holds up over time.
Crown lengthening & ridge augmentation
Reshaping bone and tissue for the right result
Some patients have too much bone and tissue, which hides the teeth and makes a smile look short. Esthetic crown lengthening, coordinated with the restorative dentist, corrects that. Where bone is short for implants, guided bone regeneration rebuilds the ridge, and recent research shows 2mm of facial bone improves the long-term implant prognosis.
